Everyone will interpret #TheArtofSeduction differently.  Is it Slow, Soft and Sweet? Erotic? Lustful? Passionate? Alluring? Full of Fascination and Fantasy? To enter, please follow these simple guidelines:

  • Log on to www.rougeseduire.com/contacts and provide us with your Name and Email Address
  • Log on to www.facebook.com/rougeseduire and LIKE our Page
  • Create your own Pinterest Board with the theme #TheArtofSeduction and title it Rouge Séduire.  Your Board must contain a minimum of 12 “Pins.”  Be as creative as you can!
  • Post the link to your Rouge Séduire Pinterest Board on Rouge Séduire’s Facebook Page between January 16, 2013 and February 4, 2013.  (Feel free to tell us a bit about your vision and/or inspiration when posting your link.)
  • Where possible, use the hashtag #TheArtofSeduction.
  • Only ONE entry per person.
  • Please use wise discretion.  Do not include pornographic or violent images in your Rouge Séduire Pinterest Board.  You can “push the envelope,” but please don’t go over the edge.  Since this is subjective, if you need clarification, please contact us before posting your board.
  • Boards which are deemed pornographic or violent will be deleted from Rouge Séduire’s Facebook page and the entrant will be disqualified from the contest.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be age 18 or older
  • Must currently reside in the United States & U.S. territories, Canada, or the United Kingdom.
  • Must not currently be an employee of Rouge Séduire, their immediate families, marketing / pr affiliates or third party suppliers.

The Prize:

  • Designer Sharon Fan will judge the submissions and select the winner.
  • Winner will be selected on or about February 4, 2013.
  • Winner will be contacted via Facebook message.
  • Winner must respond to confirm acceptance of the Prize no later than February 6, 2013.
  • Winner selection is final.
  • There will be only 1 (one) winner.
  • Winner will be announced on Rouge Séduire’s Facebook Page no later than February 7, 2013.
  • Winner will be able to select 1 Bra and 1 Panty from Rouge Séduire’s current collection.  Value not to exceed $500 USD Retail.
  • Rouge Séduire product is only available in sizes 30-38 A-D for Bras and XS-XL for Panties.
  • Prize will be shipped via USPS, UPS or FEDEX and is expected to reach the winner no later than February 14, 2013.
  • Returns will not be accepted unless the product is damaged/defective.

Intimate Insiders, Intimate Affairs and Upcoming Events

It’s a very busy time of the year full of holiday shopping, long work hours, year-end meetings, goal-setting for 2013, dinners, parties and other events.  And I’m full of anxiety… attempting to accomplish everything I set out to do before the year is over.  Am I the only one that’s feeling the pressure?  Any good tips for maintaining a sense of balance during this time of the year?  I’m getting enough sleep; I’m sticking with my usual meditation routine, allowing time for myself and making self-care a priority… Yet I still feel a bit overwhelmed.  Please share your advice for coping with life’s ups and downs…  I’d love to hear what you do to stay sane.

Victor Vega_Sophia and Gabrielle_Bob VitaleThe Grand Prize went to Joseph Lara from Delta Galil.  He won a ticket to the 2013 Femmy Gala which is scheduled for Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Cipriani 42nd Street, NYC.  The 2nd Prize went to Sophia Gergatsoulis and Gabrielle Bizzoco from Wacoal America.  Sophia and Gabrielle each received a 1-year membership in the Underfashion Club for their creative entry in the contest.  In addition to the festivities, the UFC never forgets to take care of its own community…..gifts of clothing and toys were collected and donated to the New York Foundling Children.  Club president Walter Costello and other members of the Club and industry pros including Debby Long-Gedney, Roslyn Harte, Lance Whitaker, Gary Hughes, Victor Vega, Bob Vitale, Julia Burns, Steve Chernoff, Justin Chernoff, Suzanne Beck, Luis Paredes, Joel Fertel, Ellen Lewis, and many others came together to celebrate the season in style.

Dear Kate Launch PartyThe official Dear Kate Launch Party was held on Friday, December 7th.  The Intimate Affair was hosted by Azaleas at 140 Second Avenue, NYC.  Family, friends and fans of the innovative brand came together to celebrate the launch of this unique lingerie line.  Azaleas was standing-room only.  Congrats Julie and thanks for the Dear Kate logo tote!

Bra La Mode hosted a Festive Affair Holiday Trunk Show on Saturday, December 8th.  The Intimate Affair featured Dirty Dolls Lingerie, Love & Dream Sleepwear and Loungewear and introduced – for the first time ever – the luxury lingerie line, Rouge Séduire.  The event was held at the neighborhood spa, Spa 34 on 34th Street in NYC.  Guests enjoyed Mani/Pedis and admired the three independent lines being showcased at the event.

Intimate Affair: The Art of Seduction – Tease and Please Event at La Petite Coquette

On Wednesday, November 16, 2011, the downtown NYC lingerie boutique La Petite Coquette hosted a private “invite only” event called Tease and Please.  The Intimate Affair was co-hosted by La Petite Coquette and the seductive French lingerie brand Maison Close.  I was invited to the event by Luis Paredes of The Lingerie Journal and was accompanied by TLJ writer Mozz Manzoor.  We did not know what to expect, but were pleasantly surprised by the Intimate Affair which provided an intimate look at the lost art of seduction.  Maison Close’s latest intimate apparel collections (including accessories) were modeled throughout the night.  Guest speaker Clinette Basden-Tucker discussed the variety of “sexual enhancement products” that are available for sale at the boutique.  And, the highlight of the night was a performance by New York-based Burlesque dancer and performance artist Legs Malone.  The Intimate Affair was a tasteful event which provided guests an opportunity to explore the art of seduction in a safe and sophisticated setting.

In today’s fast-paced world, we seek instant gratification on all levels…. in our career, in our personal relationships as well as in the bedroom.  Our senses are inundated with information from multiple sources at any given moment throughout the day.  I think it’s fair to say that most of us have become desensitized and have forgotten how to enjoy the nuances of individual moments.  How unfortunate it is!  We have lost the art of seduction along the way…. Performer Legs Malone reminded us of the power we all have to slow down and enjoy the playfulness of the “tease.”  Legs distinguished the difference between “tease and please.”  She said that pleasing refers to satisfaction and that teasing is about withholding.  Legs demonstrated an ultra sensual strip tease for the guests and took the time to educate the crowd on how to tease in a way that heightens the senses.  Her strip tease was sultry and slow, elegant, classy and sophisticated.  She reminded the guests that each of us has this ability within us.  It is not about the “finale,” it is about the journey along the way.  Legs taught us how to reveal without giving up too much….  Seduction is about a sense of confidence.  It is about appreciating our body exactly as it is (with all of its imperfections.)  Legs Malone is a gifted performer and a patient teacher.  It seems (as a society) that we have lost sight of the art of seduction.  I look forward to taking a few moments each day to slow down long enough to appreciate the beautiful, sensual being that I am!
